Excellent instructions. Just what I was looking for.

unfortunately it appears that the blackberry media player requires mp4 hint tracks. Ive been able to save the output from my cam using vlc and then used mp4box to add the hint track and then I can use DSS to stream it. But so far i can't figure out a way to add the hint track to the stream as it is generated. It appears VLC doesn't do that yet.

JCIFs doesn't do NTLMv2 and requires far more configuration than you would like. If you're running Tomcat on Windows, there's now a new alternative: http://waffle.codeplex.com.

This was interessant. But what about using Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition with PAE Option?

My problem is, that after some hours the remote acces from and to the server doesnt work any more. Stopping the Tomcat service, everything runs quite well agin.

I didnt find any information, if JDK 6 and Tomcat running under this equipment, is allowed.

Ok so people see this camera and it has a media server in it. Well it is still a private IP, there are a bunch of walkthroughs on how to get video from this camera to a web page. Basically it involves VLC acting as a media server to the web applet. www.ultratech.us/ultra is the noob way. Where you use the activeX cab on the camera. The other way is load up apache and point it to vlc while vlc is pulling one of the mpeg streams off the camera. I did it a few years back watching birds. I'm no programmer and it didn't take me but a couple hours to have a public website with the video feed on. I believe there is a VLC browser applet you paste into the webscript that does pretty much all you need as far as controlling playback on the webpage or you could upload the activex cab off the camera.
